Privacy Policy and Terms
This page explains what codemor.se collects, why it is needed, and the basic rules for using the service. It is written as a practical starter policy and should be reviewed legally before a larger public launch.
Who runs the service
codemor.se is operated for Morse code learning, CW practice, and related KeyMind services. The site owner is responsible for deciding how account and training data are used.
Data we collect
- Account data: username, email address, optional callsign, optional full name, preferred language, role, account status, and a secure password hash. Plain text passwords are not stored.
- Training data: Koch lessons, settings, attempts, scores, timing, speed, accuracy, and progress statistics when you are signed in.
- Community data: feature requests, bug reports, replies, and related timestamps when the requests feature is enabled.
- Security data: IP address, user agent, session data, CAPTCHA result, login and registration events, abuse reports, blocks, and technical logs needed to keep the service stable.
- KeyMind data: Morse text, virtual frequency activity, AI QSO content, and settings may be processed when you use those features. AI QSO prompts and replies may be sent to external AI providers.
How we use the data
We use this data to create accounts, authenticate users, save training progress, provide KeyMind access, prevent abuse, maintain security, understand service problems, and answer user requests.
Email addresses are used for account identity and important service or security contact. They are not sold, rented, or used for marketing newsletters by default.
Sharing and processors
Data may be processed by hosting/database providers, CAPTCHA providers such as Cloudflare Turnstile when enabled, and external AI/API providers such as OpenAI only when you use AI features. We do not sell personal data.
Retention
Account and training data are kept while the account is active. Security and abuse logs may be kept as long as reasonably needed to protect the service. You may ask for deletion, subject to necessary security or legal records.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, export, or object to processing of your personal data, and to complain to your data protection authority.
Service rules and disclaimer
Use codemor.se for lawful learning, amateur-radio-style practice, and respectful communication. Do not abuse the service, attack it, spam it, impersonate others, or post illegal, harmful, or harassing content. Accounts, content, IP addresses, or access may be limited or removed to protect the service and other users.
codemor.se is provided as an experimental learning service. Availability, accuracy, decoding, AI replies, virtual frequency behavior, and stored progress are not guaranteed. To the maximum extent allowed by law, you use the service at your own risk and the operator is not responsible for losses, misuse, interruptions, or user-generated content.
Changes
This policy may be updated as the service grows. Important changes will be reflected by updating the policy version shown on this page.
